The Kendra runs a school known as “Paramahansa Yogananda Balkrishanalaya” for young children with limited financial means. The school was started in 2011 and at present about 25 students are enrolled in it. The Kendra provides them with uniforms, books and mid-day meals. It also sponsors the brighter kids to get into good primary schools for pursuing their higher education. Currently, 13 such kids are being taken care of by the Kendra.

The Balkrishnalaya students put up their first annual function on the 11^th of December’16. The program included a play staged on a moral story, a patriotic song and singing of the cosmic chant “Door of my heart”.
