The Kendra held a memorial service for Swami Anandamoiji on Sunday 25^th September 2016, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. The service was attended by about 81 devotees.

The memorial service started with a short prayer, a brief introduction of Swamiji, a cosmic chant, ‘Shivoham Shivoham’, and a period of meditation.

This was followed by 20 minutes of reading from the lectures of Sw. Anandamoyji published in the Yogoda magazines. After this a period of silence was observed. Few of the senior devotees then shared their experiences of meeting Swamiji.

The memorial service ended with offering of flowers at the picture of Swamiji. All devotees enjoyed the meditation service. This was followed by a video recording of a satsanga by Swami Anandmoyiji titled, “You can know God in this life”. Devotees appreciated Swamiji’s sense of humor during his talks.

A brief introduction about Swamiji and a summary of his biography, as published on the YSS website, were posted on the Kendra notice board for everyone to read it.
